I think there is something really special about being able to look back on a moment and feel a little bit of it all over again. So much happens in our lives that we don't realize we'll miss until it's already passed, and I think that's part of what makes photography so meaningful to me. It's a way to hold onto the people we love, the seasons of life we never want to forget, and all the little things that make our lives ours.

More than anything, I want my work to feel like you. I want you to be able to look back at your photographs years from now and remember not just what everything looked like, but what it felt like to be there. I hope they're the kind of photographs you find yourself looking through on anniversaries, showing your kids one day, or coming back to simply because you miss how things used to be. Getting to create something that can mean more and more to someone as time goes on is a pretty special thing, and it's something I never take for granted.

It's also one of the reasons I love getting to work alongside my husband, Jonny, who is a wedding videographer. We get to experience these days together and tell the same story in two different ways, through photographs and film. I love that our couples get to have both, and that they can revisit their wedding day not only through the moments they see, but through the voices, movement, and little pieces of the day that make it feel alive all over again.
